The opportunity is with Syntel KPO for Finance & Accounting. We are hiring freshers from B.com, BBA,BMS and M.com academic background.
 

Experience: 0- 0.11 months
Location: Mumbai
 

Job Requirements:
Willingness to work in Night Shifts is must.
B.com, BBA, BMS and M.com and Final year appeared students.
Basic Knowledge of Mutual Funds, Capital Market, Bank Reconciliation and Accounting is preferable
Good Written & Spoken English.
Basic Excel Knowledge.
Note: Candidates who have applied and interviewed in the last 3 months need not apply.
MBA freshers are not eligible. However, MBA with minimum 1 yr of work experience are eligible.
Graduation Degree with 1 yr of work experience and have completed MBA recently
Candidates from Non-Commerce academic background(B.Sc, B.Sc IT, B.Sc Computer Science,MSc) should have minimum 1 yr of experience into Finance and Accounting.

Brief overview for Finance and Accounting:
Finance:
Trade Processing, Transaction Management
Processing of Corporate Actions on accounting side of Capital market, Mutual Funds & Pension Funds.
Settlement of securities and cash on accounting side of Mutual Funds & Pension Funds.
Re-accrual of Fixed Income Securities like Bonds, Treasury Bills & Mortgage back securities
Also responsible of settlement of trade's as per Contractual or Actual settlement agreements.
Re-accrual of Fixed Income Securities like Bonds, Treasury Bills & Mortgage back securities
Accounting:
Prepare timely and accurate Net Assets Values (NAV), yields, distributions, and other fund accounting output for subsequent review.
Record accurately, and in accordance with the Department policies and procedures, such accounting records as securities positions, corporate actions related, and journal entries.
Reconcile various accounts, or reviewing reconciliations prepared by others, and promptly researching and correcting any variances.
Identify exceptions and problems affecting accounting records and prices, communicating same to management, and assisting in their resolution.
Institutional fund accounting processes also include preparing, reconciling and distributing reports to/from marketing, separate custodians and investment management.
